Surprise, happy ending in search for missing York man

missing man found.JPG YORK, Pa. — The search for a missing man in York County is over and the ending is a surprise to everyone. Almost 20 hours after searching high and low for 61-year-old Ronald Trout, through some nasty conditions, he was found alive. “I am just surprised and shocked that he was able to make it through the night,” said Chief Tim Damon, York Area Regional Police. Nearly a day after walking away from a group home on Locust Grove Road in York County, Ronald Trout ended up at the Windsor Township Building getting treatment from EMS. “He looks like he is pretty cold. The ambulance crews think he would be OK,” said Chief Damon. It all started around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, when Trout was apparently in a disagreement and took off on foot.
