KCSO and KCFD search for possible plane crash

 

Update: 9:15 a.m. Kern County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 10:30 p.m Thursday night to a reported downed plane in the Tehachapi Mountains. The plane was an traveling from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles. Search efforts began in the area of I-5 and Highway 166 and then lead to the Tehachapi Mountains. Kern County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue continued searching the area until 3:30 a.m. Friday morning. Civil Air Patrol will be flying over the mountains to search for a potential plane this morning. KCSO Search and Rescue is on standby to continue their search.
